The cooperation between the two sides in terms of sales, investment and project contracting has achieved rich results.

It is reported that China has now become an important trading partner of Latin America, and Latin America has become a major destination for overseas investment after Asia. In 2017, China and Latin American and Caribbean countries reached 257.8 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 18.8% over the same period last year; in January-September this year, the sales of both sides increased by 20% over the same period last year, reaching 228.6 billion U.S. dollars; in 2017, the direct investment stock of Chinese enterprises in Latin American region reached 387 billion U.S. dollars, with a cumulative contractual value of 164.2 billion U.S. dollars, which ended. Turnover was $112.9 billion.

Gao Feng said that China and Latin American countries have strong economic complementarity, and there is great potential for cooperation between the two sides in the field of economy and trade.
